On Friday 25th January the boys and girls took part in our nursery Burns’ Day, where we celebrated the birthday of Rabbie Burns.\u00a0 The children had the opportunity to wear something tartan, taste haggis, neeps,\u00a0tatties and shortbread. They also had great fun playing toss the caber, Scottish corners and pass the haggis. We\u00a0started off our party by singing some Scottish songs – “Three Wee Craws” and “You Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff a Bus”.\u00a0 We learned about the story of Tam O’Shanter and Jack T accompanied Sandra in piping in the Haggis with his bagpipes from home.\u00a0 The children were able to share what they liked and disliked about our special day.<\/p>\n
