Sports Fun Day – Friday 7th June

Dear Parent/Carer,

On Friday 7th June, we will be holding our Sports Fun Day for all of our pupils. They will be taking part in a variety of fun activities in the school grounds in the afternoon and we will be finishing the day with some traditional style races from 2.15pm.

If you would like to come down to spectate and cheer everyone on for these races, we would love to welcome you to the pitch at the side of the school from 2.15pm. We will finish with our Parent/Carer race so please remember your own trainers too πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

On the day, pupils are invited to wear sports clothes and shoes to school – we respectfully ask that no football colours are worn. We will do everything to make sure that the Scottish weather doesn’t put a stop to our event so please ensure that your child has sun cream applied, a sunhat/sunglasses and a light rain jacket. A bottle of water will be essential to keep them hydrated throughout.

In the event of inclement weather, we may have to cancel the outdoor event. In this case, the activities will be moved inside but due to space, we would not be able to host any parents/carers. In this situation, we will send a Seesaw message and text message to inform you on the day.

Parent Council Hallowe’en Disco 1st November 2023

We are delighted that our Parent Council are hosting another Hallowe’en Disco for our pupils here at Woodlands Primary School.

The details for the disco can be found on the image above . Please note that due to the composite classes at P4, the Parent Council have decided that P4 pupils from either P3/4 or P4/5 can choose to attend either disco so that they have the opportunity to attend with their year group or their classmates.

Before the disco, we have some information requests for you to make sure the disco is a great success.

Parent/Carer Helpers

The disco is a Parent Council event and not run by the school – it is only possible with the help and support of parents/carers. If you could help at one or both of the discos, please complete the survey by clicking here

Pupil Information

As stated above, the disco is run completely by the Parent Council and parent/carer volunteers. In the event of an emergency, it is essential that those organising the event have access to relevant information. Before attending the disco, it is essential that we have this information – pupils cannot be admitted without this. Please note that the survey will close on Tuesday 31st October to allow us to prepare the information – if you have not had a chance to complete by then, you can provide the information at the door.

Song Requests

To make the night as enjoyable as possible, and to avoid any disappointment on the night, the Parent Council are looking for song requests in advance of the evening to make a fantastic playlist. If there is a song you would love to hear at the disco, please click here to make your request.
