RESOURCES FOR PUPILS SELF ISOLATING

If you are required to stay at home to self isolate, please remember that this is just for a short period and won’t be forever. You are still a valued part of our school community, even when you are learning from home.

Woodlands Primary School is committed to ensuring a continuity of education provision for children and young people during any period of self-isolation for pupils, as directed by Test and Protect. We know that this may be a difficult time so please click here to read the most up to date information from the Local Authority with regard to COVID-19

This page is dedicated to sharing resources, tips and ideas of things that might be useful to you during this time as well as targeted activities for pupils at each stage.  Please  share you Home Learning with us when you return to school.  If you need any help to access this, or require a paper copy to be posted out to you,  please get in touch by phone or email.

If your child has been affected by COVID-19, there is no expectation for them to engage in learning activities. They should instead be focussed on their own recovery journey, safe in the knowledge that on their return to school, they will be fully supported by their class teacher.

If your child is well, we expect you to send your child to school as normal and we need to monitor and report non-attendance to the relevant authorities.

If you are anxious about your child being at school during the coronavirus pandemic or if you have an issue with attendance, we will support you.

If you have a health concern about your child or yourself, we advise that you speak to your doctor for advice and then to the school to see what could be done to support you.

For pupils in P2 – P7 there are Learning Spaces which provide a variety of curriculum links. Home Learning Ideas

Learning opportunities come in all shapes and sizes and from a wide range of sources – we don’t have to be in the class with a teacher to achieve.  Families are the first educators of children and have a wealth of skills and knowledge to share. All opportunities are learning opportunities. A period of self-isolation is the perfect time to Play, Learn and Grow together.

As always, if you have any questions or queries, please contact the school via the usual channels.
