P1 have been using ‘Talk for writing’ techniques to understand and retell the story, ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’. We are very impressed at children’s ability to do this!
As part of our Scotland topic we have been investigating castles. We built our own from loose parts, named and wrote labels about its features, voted on it’s name and setting. We brought this to life through green screen technology!
Mason from P1b told us all that he would like to see a snowflake close up, so we took Mrs Mackey’s microscope outdoors to investigate this and more! These pictures include snowflakes, the back of Oscars hand, Allana’s hair, our wooden bench and school sandstone bricks!
