The P1 team wish you all a very warm welcome to Williamsburgh Primary School!
We are looking forward to getting to know you all, and also supporting your child in their forthcoming learning journey. We understand it is your child’s right to learn and play, and we shall support them to do so through exciting and engaging experiences. We ensure these activities respond to children’s interests, needs and stage of development, incorporate the Curriculum for Excellence, and provide challenge, depth and enjoyment. This will be showcased on our blog for you to see (for children who have consent), which will provide an excellent insight into your child’s life at school. This will be updated every Monday.
Our team is very experienced at supporting children’s health and wellbeing and transitions into P1. We have familiarised ourselves with the information you shared with us regarding your child (thank you!), and selected resources for them to learn and play with for their first day (based on their interests). If you have any queries please feel free to speak to a member of staff while dropping off or collecting your child.
We shall post homework on the blog every Monday, and this will complement work sent home in jotters.
