Christmas performance

Children in P1 shall be performing, ‘Away in a manger’, as part of their Christmas performance. Please support your child to practice this at home. The words and link are below, we shall also be sending a paper copy home too, many thanks!

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,

The little Lord Jesus lay down his sweet head,

The stars in the bright sky, looked down where he lay,

The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,

The little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes,

I Love you Lord Jesus, look down from the sky,

And stay by my bedside, until morning is nigh.

Be near me Lord Jesus, I ask you to stay,

Close by me forever, and love me I pray,

Bless all the dear children, in thy tender care,

And fit us for heaven, to live with you there.

Wilibot!

P1 children have been very busy at the Tinker table over the past few months making a robot called Wilibot! This has been inspired by the story ‘One Button Benny’ story, written by Alan Windram. He is now ready to visit our classes and the Open area to help us learn how to write our numbers, 2D and 3D shapes. Click on the following video to hear Wilibot talk, and find out how he was made!
