We have some exciting news here at Wiliamsburgh as we recently found out that we have been shortlisted for a public vote in Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative. The initiative will see three community groups and projects awarded grants of £12,000; £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge. Greenspace Scotland are working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.
Our project is called L.E.A.P. @ Williamsburgh. L.E.A.P. means Learning Environment for Active Pupils. Our aim is to enhance our “concrete jungle” of a playground and make it a more stimulating, active and fun place to play.
