Eco Schools

The Eco warriors have been learning about recycling, reducing and reusing.  They have been out in the nursery grounds litter picking and ensuring we recycle paper and put our fruit peelings in our compost bin.
This year our “Action Plan” includes “Litter picking in our nursery grounds, Biodiversity and Being  energy efficient.

We collect batteries to recycle, have a spectacle collection box to recycle them , grow flowers, fruit and veg in our garden, reuse recyclable material at our real resources for learning table, encourage children to walk and cycle to nursery and also have a thrift shop that parents can access whenever they choose.

We are hoping to attain our green flag this year and will be forming our eco committee  in the new session. If any parents/carers would like to become involved in our group please speak to Karin in the Lewis room for details of our next meeting.
