Gaelic Medium Education

Gaelic Medium Education is available at West Primary school for children and families across Renfrewshire Council. The Gaelic Medium unit was opened in August 2022. Gaelic Medium Education is open to children who have no prior experience of the language, as well as those who use Gaelic at home. Children in Gaelic Medium Education are fully immersed in the language during the school day, which supports the acquisition of fluency.
