Our Learning Circuit

Today the Assessment and Development Class were very busy in the learning circuit.

We worked hard on our sounds, number and fine motor skills.

We used shaving foam to write the letter ‘n’
We all enjoyed writing ‘n’
Lots of sound work!
We liked the big squishy letters! What sounds do we know?
We all worked hard on our own jobs!
How many sea creatures in each space? Let’s check!

More Pancake Day Celebrations!

This morning the Language Unit morning class helped to make pancakes.

We talked about the ingredients and equipment that we needed. We had to listen carefully to follow the recipe instructions. We made big and little pancakes! They all tasted great!

Clean hands and ready to start!

Our ingredients!
We all watched and listened carefully.
We worked hard to mix all the ingredients together.
We made sure the pan was nice and hot.
We put our mixture in the hot pan.
We waited patiently until we could see the bubbles! Then we knew it was time to turn the pancakes!
We made some big pancakes too!
We watched the big pancake being tossed!

We all had a great time…especially eating the pancakes!! We tried butter, jam, syrup and chocolate spread! The Assessment and Development Class joined us at playtime for a special pancake treat!

Chinese New Year

We enjoyed making Chinese pictures, listening to Chinese music and watching and performing a dragon dance!

We looked a Chinese food. We all tried Chinese noodles and prawn crackers!
We read lots of stories about Chinese New Year! Look at our display table.
We enjoyed making Chinese pictures and dragon masks. We learned that red and gold are lucky colours.
It’s the year of the Monkey! We enjoyed making monkey masks and using them in songs!
We watched the dragon dance on the SMARTBOARD and made our own dragons. We used our dragons to help us perform a dragon dance. We were twirling and turning high and low to the Chinese music.
