Run, Run as fast as you can….!

This week in the Assessment and Development Class we are working on the story of ‘The Gingerbread Man’. Today we listened to the story, we joined in the story and predicted what might happen. We used the playdough boards to make Gingerbread men, make a boat for the Gingerbread man to escape form the fox and give a Gingerbread man some eyes, nose and buttons!  We used the bricks to make a cottage for the Little Old Man and the Little Old Woman. We played find the fish trying to find our colour of fish behind kitchen objects!

ADC – active learning

This morning we were very busy! We discussed our news with our friends and answered lots of questions about each others news. We also managed to draw a picture.

The boys and girls listened carefully to instructions and moved to bean bags in lots of different ways….it was lots of fun!! We also enjoyed cutting playdough and paper. Blowing paint was great fun!!

We have been re-telling the story using pictures and masks. We have enjoyed playing the size bingo game and sorting bears in to ‘small’, ‘middle sized’ and ‘big’ categories. We all liked the Three Bears Bingo game and we are learning to say ‘well done’ and ‘maybe next time’ when we don’t win.

We are all getting better at singing ‘When Goldilocks Went to the House of the Bears’ we are even good at some of the actions too!
