The literacies sessions are for anyone aged 16+ years who wants to improve their reading, writing, spelling and numbers for everyday life, work or learning.

A wide range of support is available at various sessions throughout Renfrewshire, and delivered at the learner’s pace within a group setting. Examples of learning include, helping your child with homework, calculating change/interest rates on purchases, measuring for home improvements, or any other daily literacy activities. Specific literacies support is also available to gain employment/progression within existing job, or if you are considering going into Further Education. Examples of learning include Intravenous Medicine (I.V.) Administration Calculations test for nurses, Driving Theory, Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS), Door Supervision (SIA), and entrance exams into careers such as Armed Forces and Police.  A free creche may also be available.
