Parents\/Carers were invited in to the nursery and classrooms to share numeracy learning with their children. We were also very fortunate to have a number of parents who volunteered to speak to their child&#8217;s class about how they use\u00a0maths in their workplace. This helped children to\u00a0make connections between numeracy and the world of work.\u00a0The Numeracy Newsletter can now be viewed here <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/re\/public\/wallace\/uploads\/sites\/2290\/2019\/11\/Numeracy-Newsletter-2019.pdf\">Numeracy Newsletter 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Maths Week\u00a0 Scotland 2018<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Maths Week Scotland 2018 was used to launch our new approaches to numeracy. We held a parental event to explain the new approaches then invited parents\/carers to various workshops and to\u00a0view our new resources to support more active learning in numeracy.
