| We understand that the increased cost of living has affected employment and income for many of our families. Over the last few years we have been working with a number of partners to provide uniforms, support with school trips, furniture, food vouchers etc.
Food Wallace Food Bank We have a Food Bank at the front entrance to our school for everyone in our school community to use. Please take what you need, there is no need to ask, and leave what you can. Thank you to our Food Bank sponsors; Peachy Clean, Pass with Iain, 4 Corners Boxing Gym, RJ Smith Electrical, Blue Chip Fibre Optic and East Gate Church.
Renfrewshire Food Bank We are able to offer families a voucher for Renfrewshire Food Bank. Vouchers can be exchanged for a food parcel with three days worth of healthy, balanced meals for a family. Please contact Miss Docherty or Mrs Anderson (nursery) if you need a Food Bank voucher
Station Seven Station Seven is located in the old Johnstone Police Station. It’s opened every Wednesday from 10am – 1pm where people living in Johnstone & the villages can shop for low cost food. It costs £1 to join. Members pay £2.50 per visit and they will receive £15 worth of shopping. No referral is needed, just go into Station Seven on a Wednesday and sign up. School Trips Lisa’s Gift (Charity No. SCO45234) Lisa’s Gift aims to provide financial assistance to pupils attending Renfrewshire schools, who may require support, to allow them to take part in the full range of school based activities. Lisa’s Gift has provided our pupils with PE kits and support for trips such as theatre visits and P7 outdoor centre.
School Uniform Paisley Uniform Bank has now closed however we do keep a stock of good quality second hand items in school. Please contact us if you need any uniform items.
Toys Renfrewshire Toy Bank Renfrewshire Toy Bank works with schools to provide new gifts for children who need it most. This would be for birthdays and at Christmas time.
Furniture, fuel & food parcels St.Aidan’s Parish Saint Vincent de Paul (SVDP) The St.Vincent de Paul group will help any family (irrespective of their religion) in any way they can. They have provided Wallace families with second hand furniture, second hand white goods, power cards and Christmas food parcels.
Rainbow Buddies Rainbow Buddies is a local charity which can support families with funding for new white goods such as cookers and washing machines.
