It is taking us a long time but we are still working hard to construct our rafts in Technology. Last week we started to glue on our masts. First we had to measure and saw a piece of wood. Once this is dry, we will be able to add a sail and then we will be able to bring them home…we can’t wait!

Primary 1 received their Bookbug Bags from the Skoob Mobile today! The bag includes three storybooks and some activities for you to enjoy together at home. Remember to fill in the enclosed voting postcard and return to school. The Librarians were very impressed with our knowledge of books. They said we were the best Primary 1 ever!

Non-Uniform Day Reminder
New Topic – WW1 and WW2
P7 have started studying the First World War as a lead in to our new topic where we will be looking at World War 2. This coincided with Remembrance day and the children have been learning about why the poppy was chosen as the commemorative flower for WW1 and war in general. Next week we will be looking at life in the trenches and, again, if anybody has any WW1 memorabilia that they would be willing to share with us then we would be more than happy to see it.
West College Visit
Primary 7 will be visiting West College on Monday 20th November 2017  to take part in some Science workshops. The children will take part in some experiments and, hopefully, a fun and exciting time will be had by all in addition to the educational value of the workshop. Mr McGill’s class will leave for West College at 9.10am returning 10.45am and Mrs Clydesdale’s class will leave at 10.30am returning for lunch time.
