Mrs Sloan joined us in class and we made colourful masks.

Mrs Wilkie ‘s maths group has been working on place value. We can read and make numbers using tens and units.

P7 have started studying the First World War as a lead in to our new topic where we will be looking at World War 2. This coincided with Remembrance day and the children have been learning about why the poppy was chosen as the commemorative flower for WW1 and war in general. Next week we will be looking at life in the trenches and, again, if anybody has any WW1 memorabilia that they would be willing to share with us then we would be more than happy to see it.

Primary 7 will be visiting West College on Monday 20th November 2017  to take part in some Science workshops. The children will take part in some experiments and, hopefully, a fun and exciting time will be had by all in addition to the educational value of the workshop. Mr McGill’s class will leave for West College at 9.10am returning 10.45am and Mrs Clydesdale’s class will leave at 10.30am returning for lunch time.

Primary 1 have been dancing to ‘Word of the Week’ courtesy of Elvis!

P3 had great fun at gymnastics today.

 

P7 pupils will be visiting the cinema on Monday 13th November 2017 to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Departure time will be 9.15am.

Members of P7 will be participating in the Renfrewshire Schools road race on Tuesday 14th November 2017 at the ON-X Centre in Linwood. Those taking part will require a packed lunch and a bottle of water to take to the event. Please also ensure that suitable outdoor running footwear and clothing are worn i.e. tracksuits/joggers and t-shirts, waterproof jackets and trainers. Pupils should come to the school wearing their running clothes.

Primary 1 have been dancing along to some Glenn Miller music and getting ‘In the Mood’ for word of the week.  IMG_0495
