The after school choir for Primary 6 and 7 will be cancelled on Monday 20th May as I will be unable to attend.

It will also be cancelled on Thursday 30th May as the Primary 7 pupils will be at Castlehead for a transition.

I will hold an extra after school session on Monday 17th June from 3-4pm  to help offset the missing time, as well as using time in school hours/lunch times.

Please remember our concert on the afternoon of Friday 21st June. Friends and family welcome.

Today we started our new topic. We wondered about how you find out about things in the past. Mrs Wilkie brought in her old scooter and Ms Crawford brought in an old soft toy donkey.

Next week, there will be homework coming out linked to the topic. Please keep an eye out for this. It involves preparing for a personal talk on ‘My Favourite Toy’. Information on how to support your child will come with the homework.

Today we were invited along to the nursery to see the two day old chicks. We were allowed to hold one. Then we went to wash our hands.  It was very soft and did a lot of chirping!

Primary 1’s new Wonderful Wednesday pupils.

Primary 1 would like to thank everyone who attended our workshops. We hope they were useful!

 

Primary 7 had a visit from Mr Simpson and Miss Martin from the Home Ec department at Castlehead.  They worked in groups to make a chicken pasta bake and a fruit smoothie!  Everyone was given a card in their groups with different tasks and had to work together as a team to create the dishes.  They tasted amazing and the pupils can’t wait for more Home Ec lessons!

Our Health Week

Here is a selection of all the activities that P3 were lucky to take part in this week.  They included Golf, Judo, Touch Rugby, Hockey, Tae Kwon Do and a  Sponsored Scoot/Cycle. We also had a special visitor who told us about how to keep healthy by drinking lots of water. Thank you to everyone for an amazing week!
