Primary 1 have been getting into the Halloween spirit with Word of the Week dancing this week. 👻IMG_0464

Primary 1 have been developing their folding and cutting skills this week. Look at some of the Halloween decorations we have been making.

Primary 1 have just visited the Book Fair. We looked at lots of different books. There were books about fairies, cats, Lego Ninjago, Spiderman, unicorns and lots more. Children have a ‘post it’ in their homework folders which is a note of the book they would most like to read.

Primary 1 have  been dancing again to the ‘Word of the Week’. This week we are dancing to ‘You Should Be Dancing’ by the Bee Gees. We dance whenever the word ‘you’ appears on the smartboard.

Primary 1 Material Hunt

Last week we went on a material hunt. We explored the playground and classroom for lots of different materials. Waterproof Experiment

We were sensational scientists when we carried out an experiment to find out what materials were waterproof. Some very brave volunteers stood under materials and water was poured over their heads! Who got wet and who stayed dry? Look at some of the photos to find out.

In Science, we are learning about ‘Materials’. This afternoon we carried out a strength experiment relating to the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. We had to predict the strongest material.

We invited the ‘Big Bad Wolf’ in to try to blow them down!
