Welcome

A warm welcome to the Wallace Primary School and Nursery website. I hope you find all the information you require from our website.

Mr David Rigmand
Head Teacher

Wallace Primary School opened in 1974 and has seven year groups, Primary 1 – Primary 7, in attractive semi-open plan classrooms. Accommodation is on one level, with wheelchair access and facilities. Each primary stage has its own playground area. Within the school grounds there is a netball court, a football pitch, a wildlife garden and adventure trails for all classes to enjoy.

There are places for 434 children.  No Primary 1 class will contain more than 25 pupils. The present roll is 360.  Parents should note that the operational capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and in the way in which the classes are organised.

In keeping with the design of the school your child will not have the same teacher all day, but one teacher will be recognised as your child’s class teacher and a point of contact for you.

Wallace Nursery Class opened in August 2000.   The nursery was accommodated in a separate building until an extension to the school building was built and opened in December 2016.  From August 2017, 54 aged 3 and 4 can attend for 1140 hours.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school for further information or clarification of anything within this web site.
