\ud83e\udd1d Young Leaders of Learning<\/strong> \ud83e\udd1d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Young<\/span>\u00a0Leaders<\/span>\u00a0of Learning (YLL) club plays an important role in helping to improve our school. The children listen to the views of other pupils, share ideas and work together to make positive changes. Last year their focus was on promoting positive relationships, which included working alongside Todholm Primary School. The pupils\u00a0visited each others schools, shared ideas and learned from one another. This year the\u00a0Young<\/span>\u00a0Leaders<\/span>\u00a0are working on implementing meaningful changes to further improve our school, supported by a newly recruited team who are keen to develop their\u00a0leaders<\/span>hip skills.<\/p>\n

Our Eco Council is a group of enthusiastic pupils who love helping to look after our school and our planet!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
We have\u00a0two Eco Reps from every class who work with Mrs Duckett to share ideas and help us work towards our eco goals for the year.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This year we are focusing on:<\/div>\n

On the first Wednesday of every month, our P4\u2013P7 Eco Reps meet with Mrs Duckett to talk about our targets, plan fun activities, and decide how we can make a difference. We also create and display our monthly focus posters to help everyone learn how small actions can have a big impact.<\/div>\n

Together, our Eco Council helps make our school a greener, kinder place for everyone! \u00a0\ud83c\udf0d<\/div>\n

The\u00a0Pupil<\/span>\u00a0Council<\/span>\u00a0meet once per month to look at the School Improvement priorities. We have representatives from P1-P7. The children have been looking closely at our positive relationships policy and were able to state parts of our policy that they would like to change. They have looked at the results from the families and are currently creating a\u00a0pupil<\/span>\u00a0friendly version of the relationships policy. Our next focus will be Building Racial Literacy and looking at ensuring all classes are involved in anti-racism lessons.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Our Digital Leaders are a dedicated team of Primary 5\u20137 pupils who support learning and teaching across the school through the effective use of digital technology. They assist staff and younger pupils with ICT, help troubleshoot minor technical issues, and promote confidence in using digital tools.<\/div>\n
As Internet Safety Ambassadors, they also play a key role in encouraging safe, responsible and respectful online behaviour, helping to ensure our school community understands how to stay safe in the digital world.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Primary 5 & 6 are beginning an exciting new project venturing into the world of podcasting! The children will work together with other cluster schools to visit a local podcasting studio, and plan our own school podcast. Our podcast will showcase learning across the school, as well as interviews from our pupil leadership groups, dates for the diary and fun school events.<\/div>\n
