Today we held a St. Andrews Day assembly. Each class performed a song or poem to the whole school. We had a variety of old and new Scottish themed items, Ally Bally Bee, Bonnie Wee Jeannie McColl, 3 Craws, Lament to a Dinner Ticket and Caledonia, to name a few. P1 – Bedtime stories
Primary 1/2 came back to school last night for Bedtime stories! This session was to coincide with Scottish book week. The children loved their book bags and Read, Write & Count bags which were gifted to them. We had a lovely time enjoying stories, scavenger hunts, stories and snacks.

P6/7 – Bring and Buy Sale
On Friday P6/7 held their Bring and Buy sale and raised £328.43. Well done to all who took part and thank you for all of your contributions to the sale.
Family Christmas Party
St. Peter’s Primary School Parents & Families Group are hosting a Family Christmas Party.
When: Sunday 25th November 2pm to 4pm.
Where: Blacklandmill Bowling Club
Cost: £3.00 – Tickets from the school office.
Disco with party games for kids and adults, Christmas quiz, Raffle, Chocolate Tombola, Tea, Coffee, Hot Dogs, Crepes and…..

P1 & P1/2 – Library visit
Primary 1 and Primary 1/2 visited Glenburn Library to coincide with World book week. We heard three lovely stories and then we voted on our favourite story. The library ladies also gave us colouring pictures to match the stories we heard! We had a great time!
P1/2 – Over the Moon with their science lesson
Primary 1/2 have been learning about the Sun, Moon and Stars in science. Today we made phases of the moon planners. We also used jaffa cakes to highlight the different phases such as full moon, waxing gibbous and waning crescent! A very tasty science lesson!
P7-Remembrance Service
On Friday P7 attended a Remembrance Service in Braemount Care Home. Before the service the children spent some time speaking to the residents, who had written some of their war memories on poppy cards. After the service, which was conducted by Canon Eddie, the children created a Garden of Remembrance with the poppies.
