\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a>Admissions<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

All Nursery places are allocated in line with the Council\u2019s admissions policy and the nursery staff will advise you how this policy operates when you apply for a place for your child.<\/p>\n

The nursery class is a member of the local and central Admissions Panel. The panel meets at regular intervals throughout the year to discuss and band applications and to decide how nursery places will be allocated.\u00a0 The panel will consist of heads of local authority and partnership pre-five establishments in the area.<\/p>\n

The local Admissions Panel consists of a representative from each of the following establishments:-<\/p>\n

St Mary\u2019s Nursery Class<\/p>\n

West Nursery Class<\/p>\n

Maxwellton Park Nursery<\/p>\n

Abbey Nursery<\/p>\n

Hugh Smiley Nursery<\/p>\n

Wallace Nursery Class<\/p>\n

Applications for a nursery place are made online via the link below, please ensure you have the following:<\/p>\n

Your child’s birth certificate<\/p>\n

Parent\/Carer proof of identity<\/p>\n

Proof of address<\/p>\n

Nursery Online Application<\/a><\/p>\n

Register of applicants<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A register of all applicants will be kept by the nursery. \u00a0If circumstances change which affects your application then you should speak to the Head Teacher.\u00a0 Please note that the length of time a child\u2019s name has been on the register will not affect the child\u2019s priority of admission.\u00a0 Parents can ask to see their application form at any time.<\/p>\n

Enrolment<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Once nursery places have been allocated, children and their families are invited to take part in our induction programme. All new entrants are invited to attend our \u2018open day\u2019 and we also offer home visits prior to the children starting the nursery.\u00a0 Families are then informed by letter about when their child can start nursery. \u00a0Start dates for new entrants are staggered to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.\u00a0 Initially children do not stay for the full nursery session and parents may be invited to stay to support their child at these times.\u00a0 Each child is allocated a key worker, a member of the nursery team who will have special responsibility for his\/her care and wellbeing, development and learning.<\/p>\n
