Big Day In<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the success of previous years, we are excited to announce that the St James\u2019 Big Day In will be returning on Friday, 19th June. On this day, pupils can enjoy inflatable fun, show off their dance moves at the Silent Disco, and participate in hands-on Science Shows delivered by the Science Centre. Primary 6-7 pupils will have the ultimate challenge of completing a Colour Run. All these activities will be packed into one exciting day! As most activities will be outdoors, we ask that children wear inexpensive, comfortable, and sporty clothing suitable for the variety of activities. They should also be prepared for the Scottish summer by bringing a hat, sun cream, and a waterproof jacket. Primary 6 and 7 pupils should bring a change of clothing in their bags (including a towel, change of footwear, and a plastic bag) as they will be participating in a Colour Run, which may get them dirty from the powdered paint and wet. All children who require an inhaler MUST have a working and in-date inhaler with them throughout the day to participate in every activity. Please ensure your child has this with them. There will be a change to the school lunch menu on this day, which children have pre-ordered in school. They can choose from a burger, hotdog, or veggie burger. They may also bring a packed lunch from home. Please discuss with your child what option they have chosen as the teachers will be collecting their options this Friday so we know numbers for the day. We can\u2019t wait for another fun-filled day!<\/p>\n

Podcast Launch<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are so excited to share that we have officially launched our school podcast, <\/span>Chatterbox<\/span>. This project was made possible by a wonderful grant from Virgin Money, which allowed us to purchase high-quality microphones, headphones, and recording gear.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our pupils have taken to the airwaves like naturals! They have been busy creating the school news, interviewing staff, and practicing their “radio voices” to make sure our first episode is a hit. This project is helping our children build incredible skills in literacy, technology, and public speaking\u2014all while having a lot of fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first episode is now live! We have school news, some hilarious jokes in the “Giggle Zone,” and a special guest in the hot seat.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Renfrew Cluster \u2013 School Visit Timetable<\/strong><\/p>\n

      To support families in exploring multiple schools ahead of Primary 1 registration, we\u2019ve coordinated visit times across the Renfrew Cluster during the final week of term:<\/p>\n

        Families are invited to visit each school via the front entrance at 3.30pm, where they\u2019ll be welcomed by the Senior Leadership Team and shown around the Primary 1 teaching spaces and communal areas.<\/p>\n

        Further visits will be arranged as part of the transition programme running from April to June 2026.<\/p>\n
