Father Ryan has asked that I share the following with our families. Please find attached graphics for further information.

I hope this finds you well.
The Youth Commission’s next Retreat Day will take place in Lent, on Sunday 1st March 2026. This Retreat Day is open to pupils in P4, P5, P6 and P7, and will run from 1.45–5pm. As you know, the Youth Commission hopes to host one Retreat each academic year in Inverclyde. As such, please note that the venue will be St Francis of Assisi church and halls, in Port Glasgow.
Following the news from the Holy Father of the special Jubilee Year of St Francis, we believe that the Retreat will be a great way to get the young people involved in the Jubilee celebrations.
The theme of this session’s Retreat Days is: Our Friends, the Saints. In the Lenten Retreat Day, we will focus on some Franciscan
Saints and how they personify the Lenten disciplines of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The event will include an opportunity for the young people to learn more about the saints, to have dinner together, and to celebrate Holy Mass.
We hope that many of the children and families who have supported past events will support this one. We also hope that many more families will register their children for this Retreat. Feedback received from families and schools suggests that frequent promotion of these events by schools and in parishes is important. I would be grateful if you would promote this event far and wide.
Registration is necessary, and families can do this by scanning the QR code on the attached graphic
Thank you for all you do to support the work of the Youth Commission.
In Christ,
Fr Ryan
