We are the first primary school in Renfrewshire to achieve Eco-Schools status! This award is due to a lot of hard work from our Health Committee and the ongoing commitment of the school in promoting healthy lifestyles.<\/p>\n<p>As an Eco-School, we recycle wherever possible. We send paper to be recycled at the Linwood Recycling Centre. We recycle old ink cartridges and we also recycle our fruit. At 2.30pm each day the Fruit Monitors collect fruit cores and peelings from each class and deposit them in the Green Bins. This allows the waste to break down and enrich the soil in our gardens. The boys take their jobs very seriously and are very conscientious. Thank you boys!<\/p>\n<p>Litter is a problem everywhere in society. It is the school&#8217;s intension to seriously address this issue in the coming months. In order that the appearance of our own grounds is as attractive as possible, new litter monitors have been picked from the upper primaries. Each month litter will be counted to measure improvement. However, our children have responded so well there may well be very little litter to count!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;text-decoration: underline\">Second Green Flag<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">On Monday 30th January 2007, St Fergus&#8217; successfully attained a second green flag and maintained Eco School status.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;text-decoration: underline\">Third Green Flag<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>St Fergus&#8217; successfully attained a third green flag and maintained Eco School status.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;text-decoration: underline\">Fourth Green Flag<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>St Fergus&#8217; successfully attained a\u00a0fourth green flag and maintained Eco School status.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;text-decoration: underline\">Fifth Green Flag<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>St Fergus&#8217; successfully attained a\u00a0fifth green flag and maintained Eco School status.
