we use an educational programme called <em>Emotion Works<\/em>\u00a0to support children with their emotional learning and literacy development. \u00a0Based around a visually supportive framework for learning and talking about emotions, the goal is to build emotional language and understanding in children and young people to help develop emotional competence and resilience.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Cog Model\u2019 framework identifies seven categories of emotional knowledge and competence that link together to help show how \u2018emotion works\u2019.
