6th<\/sup> March<\/strong><\/td>\nWorld Book Day \u2013 Buddies visit the Nursery to read stories with the children-<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glencoats Lodge \u2013 9.15am<\/p>\n

Ferguslie ELCC \u2013 10.00am<\/p>\n

All other nurseries \u2013 11am – Children are welcome to visit St. Fergus\u2019 on this day.<\/p>\n

(Douglas Street, Orchard Grove, Leaps and Bounds, Puddle Lane, Carriage Hill)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

1st May<\/sup><\/strong><\/td>\nMeet the Teacher (11.00-11.30 am<\/strong>) \u2013 introduction to Primary 1 and the Class Teacher with a shared story about starting school and a tour of the classroom. (Parents\/Carers\/Keyworkers welcome to take part)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
7th<\/sup> May <\/strong><\/td>\nEmotion works (1.45-2.30pm)<\/strong> – Health and Well-being lesson around Emotion Works. Children will discuss, draw, dramatize emotions from a story stimulus. Children will be introduced to a different member of staff each week. (Parents\/Carers\/Keyworkers welcome to take part)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
15th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teddy Bear Picnic<\/strong> (2.00-2.45 pm)\u2013<\/strong>Primary 1 children, Buddies and our School Librarians will showcase school library. The children can bring their own teddy and snack.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
19th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/td>\n

Outdoor Learning (1.45-2.30pm) \u2013 <\/strong>Nursery children will visit the school and be introduced to their Buddies. Their outdoor adventure will involve the children being Bug Detectives and going on a Bug Hunt.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
29th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/td>\nBuddy School Tour (2.00-2.45 pm)<\/strong> \u2013 Nursery children will visit the school and will be given a tour with their Buddies followed by a snack and playground fun.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
10th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/td>\nP.1 Parent Induction Day 1 (1.30-2.30 pm) \u2013 <\/strong>Meet the Senior Leadership Team while your child meets with their Class Teacher. Children and parents should be in attendance due to the amount of important information given by the staff team.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
17th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/td>\nP.1 Parent Induction Day 2 (1.30-2.30 pm) \u2013 <\/strong>Meet the School Community Staff while your child meets with their Class Teacher. Parent\u2019s tour of the school. Children and parents should be in attendance due to the amount of information given by the School Community.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
19th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/td>\nSchool Dinner Tasting Day (11:30-12.30pm) – <\/strong>Enjoy the morning in our School Dinner Hall with your child sampling our school meals. (Options of food will be given nearer the time.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Online Transition Lesson 1:<\/p>\n

The nursery children enjoyed meeting our current P1s who gave them a tour of our classroom. Then we read a story about starting school and the current Primary One’s talked to the nursery children about what to expect on their first day of school.<\/p>\n
