As a Roman Catholic, denominational school, we are committed to nurturing the spiritual development of every child through learning experiences rooted in Christ\u2019s gospel values of love, compassion, forgiveness, and respect.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Why Religious Education Matters<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Religious Education helps children grow in faith, understand Catholic teachings, and develop a strong moral foundation. It encourages reflection, prayer, and a sense of belonging within the wider Church community. Through RE, children learn to live out the values of the Gospel in their relationships, choices, and contributions to society.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>How We Teach Religious Education<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Our RE curriculum is based on Scotland\u2019s\u00a0<i>Curriculum for Excellence<\/i>\u00a0and delivered using the Church-approved resource\u00a0<b>This Is Our Faith<\/b>. This ensures that learning is:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Faith-Filled and Inclusive<\/b>\u00a0 Children explore scripture, prayer, liturgy, and Catholic traditions in ways that are meaningful and age-appropriate.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Gospel-Centred<\/b>\u00a0 Learning experiences are guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ, helping children apply gospel values in everyday life.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Sacramental Preparation<\/b>\u00a0 Pupils are supported in preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. These are celebrated annually with parents and the wider parish community, strengthening our shared faith journey.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Community-Connected<\/b>\u00a0 We have a close working relationship with the\u00a0<b>Diocese of Paisley<\/b>, and our school regularly engages with parish life through Mass, prayer services, and charitable outreach.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Religious Education in Our School is not just a subject \u2014 it is a lived experience that shapes the heart, mind, and spirit of every child.
