Our Health and Wellbeing curriculum, shaped by Scotland\u2019s\u00a0<i>Curriculum for Excellence<\/i>, is designed to nurture each child\u2019s emotional, social, and physical development in a safe and supportive environment.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Why Health &amp; Wellbeing Matters<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Health and Wellbeing is central to helping children build resilience, develop positive relationships, manage emotions, and make informed choices. By supporting wellbeing, we empower children to thrive in school and beyond \u2014 as confident individuals, effective contributors, and responsible citizens.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>How We Teach Health &amp; Wellbeing<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Our approach is rooted in compassion, inclusion, and respect. We ensure that every child feels valued and supported through:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>A Nurturing Ethos<\/b>\u00a0 We create a caring school culture where children feel safe, listened to, and understood. Relationships are at the heart of our practice, and we promote kindness, empathy, and emotional growth in all aspects of school life.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Barnardo\u2019s PATHS Programme<\/b>\u00a0 All pupils take part in PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies), a research-based programme that helps children develop emotional literacy, self-control, and social skills through structured, age-appropriate lessons.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>Glasgow Motivation and Wellbeing Profile (GMWP)<\/b>\u00a0 We use this toolkit to gather insights into each child\u2019s wellbeing and motivation, allowing us to tailor learning experiences that meet individual needs and support personal development.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b>GIRFEC (Getting It Right For Every Child)<\/b>\u00a0 Our curriculum and learning opportunities are underpinned by the GIRFEC approach, ensuring that every child receives the right support at the right time, helping them to grow and achieve their full potential.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">We work in close partnership with families and the wider community to promote wellbeing both in and out of school.
