The proposed project aims to deliver weekly music sessions in five primary schools. These schools will be selected based on their significant numbers of pupils in SIMD (Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation) Index 1, 2, and 3 categories. The project will be targeted at pupils in all primary stages, meaning children from ages 4-12 will be able to participate.<\/small><\/p>\n

The project will feature a variety of musical inputs to engage the students. This will include percussion, ukulele, and vocal-based sessions. The use of percussion instruments such as drums, shakers, and tambourines can help students develop their rhythm and timing skills. The ukulele is a small and accessible instrument that is easy for young students to learn and play, allowing them to develop their musical abilities. Vocal-based sessions will help students develop their singing skills and confidence, as well as their ability to work in a group.<\/small><\/p>\n

Overall, the project’s aim is to provide musical education and opportunities to students who may not have access to such resources.
