Applications for clothing grants and free school meals for the new school year 2024–25 are now open.
You should apply for a clothing grant and free school meals if you are on a low income and receive a qualifying benefit.
If you apply for a clothing grant by Friday 12 July and include all the required supporting documentation, then the Council will process your application and make a payment to you before the start of the new school term.
The Council makes payments in lieu of free school meals during school holidays. You can only get these if you have applied for free school meals.

“ We are inviting the pupils to take part in crazy hair day in return for a bottle donation to the bottle tombola for the Riverbrae Summer Fayre . We looking forward to seeing all those crazy styles – whether it’s spikey, curly, glittery or all the colours of the rainbow- come and join in the fun!”
The parent council paid for the t-shirts for class 407 who have done an excellent job in tie-dying them ready for their school show! Here’s some of the very proud pupils with their fab work. Well done everyone !
I am writing to you regarding some changes we hope to make to improve the service you receive from the summer playscheme your child has previously attended at Riverbrae school. I am aware how much you and your child value the opportunity to attend the playscheme during the summer holidays. We are looking at ways that we can improve the services on offer and also potentially offer your child more time to attend the play-scheme, if this is something you/they would wish.

This May, we’re inviting all our pupils to join us for a Pyjama /Onesie, day.
On Tuesday 28 May 2024 you won’t need to get your child dressed – we’re asking them to wear their pyjamas or onesie all day long and bring chocolate or crisps for a donation.
Donation of chocolate or crisps would be greatly received and would be used for our Tombola stall on the day of our Summer Fete.
At Riverbrae we work together to build an inclusive and happy community where every achievement is celebrated and every experience is viewed as an opportunity for learning. We want our young people to have success for today and be prepared for tomorrow.
