The Riverbrae Parent Council will hoofing it around Barshaw Park , jingling our bells to raise money for the Riverbrae PC … more info will be on its way soon …. If anyone would like to join in the fun and be part of the team that would be fantastic ! The more the merrier , it’s a family event , we’d love to see you there !

After school times won’t work for parents to be able to work on the sensory garden.
Gardening at the front of the building can be done outwith drop-off and pick-up times.
Jennifer Gray will discuss suitable times to access the sensory garden at the next DHT meeting.
Parents felt that starting with the sensory garden would be more beneficial for the pupils.
Risk assessments will be carried out to ensure the safety of pupils.

Six ASNA positions have been filled and one vacancy to be filled.
Riverbrae is having a pumpkin competition this year on Monday the 28th October. Each class will be given a pumpkin to decorate they have been ordered by school.
There has been lots of interest. Tables will be charged at £25 and a donation raffle prize.
Set up help from parent council members needed.
Parent council can have a table at the fayre.

Youth Services
Youth Services is working in partnership with Riverbrae to deliver a 10 week, after school youth club programme. The club will run from the 4th October – 13th December. The programme will be delivered in the school, with a range of creative, fun activities that will aim to build confidence, promote social contact, and consult on what the young people would like to take part in future projects. Youth Services will aim to provide activities that will help young people gain Hi5 award and beyond – taking part in this varied programme will allow young people to gain new experiences and skills.

If your young person is interested in taking part in the after-school youth club, you will find a form to complete in your child’s schoolbag.
Our first ‘Riverbrae Parent/ Carer Gardening Club’ will be held in school on Wednesday 11th September to discuss plans on the group and what needs to be done .
We are looking at tidying and maintaining the outdoor areas of the school , making it a space that the pupils can spend time in and create a lovely environment that the classes can use for gardening purposes and outdoor learning . We also want to make the surrounding areas in school tidy and ascetically pleasing with planters, bulbs , plants etc . Any donations of bulbs would be welcomed , ready to plant now for the spring 💐🌺🌸🌷🌻🌼
