Improving attitudes towards numeracy and mathematics remains a key national priority and reducing maths anxiety will help improve enjoyment, engagement and attainment in the subject.\u00a0 We know from our attainment data that we must continue to focus on closing the poverty-related attainment gap whilst raising attainment for all in numeracy and mathematics.\u00a0 We will invest in high-quality CLPL that deepens practitioners\u2019 knowledge and understanding of effective pedagogy in numeracy and mathematics.\u00a0 Taking cognisance of the findings of the national thematic inspection in numeracy and mathematics, our professional learning will be underpinned by collaborative enquiry to ensure sustained positive impact on our children and young people.<\/p>\n
