Improving gender balance and unconscious bias in STEM Learning

This session is aimed at Primary practitioners but is also suitable for those working in  Early Years and Secondary

This online session will explore gender imbalance in subject choice and learner pathways with a focus on STEM.

It will examine the underlying issues that contribute to this from early years through to secondary.

It will offer the opportunity to explore gender roles, stereotypes and bias and the impact on learner participation, attainment and achievement and wellbeing.

The session will explore wider equalities, whilst also highlighting strategies and resources available to support settings to adopt a sustainable approach to addressing imbalance and inequality and removing barriers for learners of different genders and backgrounds in STEM.
