In this four-part professional learning programme, explore and create along with us to extend your knowledge of how digital technology can be embedded naturally through play, linking to current guidance and policy (Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence, How Good Is Our Early Learning and Childcare).
In the first session we explore examples of effective digital learning in early level settings and the creative ways in which practitioners are harnessing digital technology to support planning children’s learning, whether that be intentionally or responsively.
In sessions two and three, the programme will then focus on Curriculum for Excellence early level Digital Literacy and Computing Science experiences and outcomes in more detail, where you will be invited to look inwards at your own knowledge and skills and/or learning provision in your setting, to identify areas for improvement.
The face to face, fourth session will allow practitioners to share their journey and learning throughout this course. Participants will be asked to share very brief presentation/video/sketch note demonstrating how they have developed their effective use of digital technologies in their setting.
The examples of practice included in the session content will be ELC (Early Learning and Childcare) focused and specifically for our practitioners working in Early Years Centres or Classes, across the West Partnership.
Dates: 29 August, 19 September, 24 October from 3.15 – 4.15 and a final face-to-face session to be confirmed in January.
