P7H Christmas Jumper Day ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽ„

We we had a lovely day in P7H today. ย Early this morning, we went outside with our clay tea light holders that the children made and painted themselves๐Ÿ•ฏ. We took part in some carol singing ย and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and spreading the Christmas cheer! ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽค Afterwards, we enjoyed some hot chocolate in class which heated us up quickly โ˜•๏ธ.ย

After break, the children took part in a Maths Christmas Codebreaker Challenge; this covered lots of the Maths concepts we have looked at across this term. The enthusiasm in the room was infectious and everyone was enjoying themselves while revising these key concepts. โœ…ย

Before lunch, we had a short window where everyone was able to make a Christmas decoration for their tree at home ๐ŸŽ„.

Finally, we had a Polar Express themed art lesson at the end of the day where the children completed their own train using chalk and oil pastels. Everyone put their own unique spin on their train and it was great to see the different shading techniques which were used to create these wonderful pieces. ๐ŸŒŸ

I hope you all enjoyed yourself today and have a well-earned rest this weekendโ˜บ๏ธ. I look forward to seeing you all on Monday morning to start our last week of Term 2๐Ÿ˜ƒ.ย

Here are some pictures from our day ๐Ÿ“ธ.

Week Beginning: Monday 7th December 2020

Good Morning!

We hope you all had a fantastic weekend and are feeling ready for the week ahead.

This week we are looking at the spelling rule ‘for’. We have discussed the meaning of our spelling words and associated words in class. Our rule words this week are:ย referral, inferred, transfer, preferred, deferred and conference. Our common words are: suffix, especially, plural and cotton. Please complete the associated task on Teams, uploading either a word document or a photograph of your work.

In class we have been looking at solving equations. This week our maths homework is digital. Please find the task details on teams.

Please continue to read your accelerated reader at home. You should aim to complete an accelerated reading book every couple of weeks (unless discussed with your teacher).

We are looking forward to the week ahead โ€“ letโ€™s have a good one!

Making Japanese kites was a lovely way to finish our topic today. The children designed their Koi Carp Fish and we attached them to to bamboo sticks using wool. We were lucky enough to get a windy afternoon to try them out. ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ ๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿ’จ๐ŸŽฃ

P7H Maths Week Day 2 ๐Ÿ“Š๐ŸŽฒโœ–๏ธโž—โž•โž–

Today, Primary 7H made Maths booklets for their buddies. โ˜บ๏ธ They had to come up with handy things that would assist their Primary 1 buddies in doing their Maths work. The aim was to make them bright and colourful so that they would be appealing to the younger children.

They are looking forward to hopefully meeting their buddies in the near future even if it is virtually at first ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

Here are some pictures of the booklets. ๐Ÿ“ธ
