P6S Outdoor Learning

@playscotland #OutdoorClassroomDay @RenEdHWB

Today Primary 6S were very excited to see our new outdoor classroom opened for the whole school to enjoy and use

To celebrate we decided to take some of our learning outdoors. We went on a 2D and 3D shape hunt for maths as this is our new topic. We looked for shapes in the real world and created tiling patterns with natural materials.

We were also very luck to have Elsbeth the community champion from Morrisons come and help us tidy out the school planters. We helped dig out old roots and then planted some new seed, including: beetroot, cress, carrots and runner beans. We can’t wait to see them flourish!
