Today you were issued with your Book Detectives homework. New books have once again been chosen by those of you who completed your book this week. Please remember you are choosing the number of chapters/pages being read each week for homework therefore you should ensure you are choosing a realistic amount to read, eg. not too much OR too little. Most of the books chosen should be completed within two weeks although some of our more avid readers may complete their book sooner.

For Thursday 5th October you should read the chapters/pages decided upon. Once you have finished your reading, the following tasks should be completed in your B.D. jotter:

  • Summariser – Write a short paragraph (6-8 sentences) describing what has happened during the pages you have read this week.
  • Illustrator – Draw an illustration from the pages read this week. It might be your favourite part or an important part of the story . Please remember to include a sentence or two describing what your illustration is showing.

Please remember to read aloud to someone at home and, if possible, your reading feedback form (one section) should be completed.

Please ensure you complete your reading otherwise you will be unable to participate in the group activities in class.
