Movie afternoon

Good afternoon

It is our movie afternoon tomorrow and children can bring in a comfy cushion, blanket or cuddly toy if they wish.  Snacks will be kindly provided by the parent council ( water will be available).

On Friday, children can bring in a toy or game of their choice.  They are responsible for whatever they choose to bring.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Parent pay consent forms

Good afternoon

Please could you ensure that you have signed up to parent pay and have completed the consent form online?  These need to be completed to allow us to go to Park Mains High School and for some of the children to go to the ballet.  The paper consent forms are different – thank you for handing these in.

Good evening, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I can’t quite believe it’s the last week of term.  We have had such a great term with lots of hard work and fun.

As it’s the last week before the Christmas holidays there is no formal homework as such:

Spelling – This week we are revising the last 4 weeks of spelling.  We will give the children a 12 word spelling quiz on Thursday based on these words.  This week the children can practise these 4 weeks words.  They could write them, verbally spell them for you etc.  Although the homework jotters will be given out, the pupils do not need to complete the usual formal activities.

Reading – Reading books will be collected in on Tuesday.

Well done to all of the children for completing their Greece solo talk.  We have 2 to hear tomorrow and the final pictures will go up on the blog after this.

On Thursday afternoon, the pupils will have their movie treat in class.  There will be a drink and snack very kindly donated by the parent council.

School closes on Friday 20th December at 2:30pm.

On Friday the pupils can bring in a toy from home to play with in class.  No electronic toys please to avoid any breakages etc.

Have a great week and thank you as always for your kind help and support.

There is a letter in your child’s bag today with details of the event.

Please contact the school office if you are having any issues with Parent Pay.

Primary 5 Golf

Primary 5 have been learning all about golf with Miss Hunter during PE. We were very lucky to have James, Alan and Alistair come along from Erskine Golf Club to help us learn the basics.

We are looking forward to visiting the Golf Course, which is just along the road from the school, in the new year.

Thanks again for helping us learn a little more about the sport and how to keep active and healthy. Here is a few pictures of our learning.
