Thank you and well done!

Good afternoon.

For those of you who couldn’t make the call this morning, I just want to let you know that I am so proud of all of the hard work you have put in this week.  Our IT issues seem to have improved so let’s hope that continues!

Please say a huge thank you to your parents and carers for supporting you.  This is a team effort and I am very grateful to them.

Your Scots Poem should be sent to me by Tuesday next week, either by email, on Teams or on our class post.

Remember to contact me through the school day if you have any questions.  If your parents have questions they can email me at

Have a great, safe weekend and I will speak to you all on Monday.

P5C Thank you!

Good morning!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for my Christmas gifts.  You are all too kind!  I hope you have all had a good break and I am looking forward to seeing everyone online on Monday!  I will schedule a welcome meeting on Teams for 9.30am on Monday.

There is a post already on the blog detailing how our remote learning will work.  We will schedule meetings for 11.45am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to catch up.  Don’t worry if you can’t make all of these meetings.

Please get in touch if you have any questions or worries.  Have a great weekend and enjoy the snow if you can!

Last week of Term P5C

Who can believe that we are at the last week of term!  The good news for the children is that there is no homework this week!  Could all reading books please be returned before Friday?

The children have produced a surprise video for you to enjoy and this will be posted on Teams at some point today!  We hope you enjoy it!

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you for your support.  This has been the most difficult year for us all but the children have got to this point with incredible resilience and determination.  I am so proud of each and every one of them.  They have looked out for each other, are kind, caring and check up on how I am on a regular basis!  They comply with all of the Covid guidance without complaining and know to keep each other safe.  They have certainly been a great help to me!  I hope you all have a fantastic Festive Period and keep safe.  I kook forward to seeing everyone in 2021.

Best wishes

P5 Week Beginning 30th November

We hope you all enjoyed a great long weekend.  Spelling is as follows:  u for long 00 sound

Maths assignments will be on Teams for each class.

Topic homework – we are looking at Caring Kids this term.  We would like you to find out as much as you can about local groups which help the community.  This could be helping the elderly, disabled or other vulnerable groups.  Maybe new groups have been taking place online due to Covid?  You could ask at home, research online and maybe make an online call to friends or relatives who  use these groups.  Note down any important facts you can find out.  Your teacher will give you a piece of paper to complete this if you need it.  You can also put it straight onto teams.

Please hand in all reading books this week – there will be no reading books issued until the following week.

We are so grateful for all of the donations we have received so far for the Christmas Hampers.  Could any outstanding donations be handed in by Friday 4th December?

Christmas jumper day – could children please bring in a clear, plastic tub such as a yogurt tub to use on Friday 11th December?  These can be brought into class before then.

Thank you all again for your continued support.  As always, any questions, please get in touch.

Christmas Jumper Day Craft

We are planning a fantastic day on December 11th.  As part of this, the children will be making a tealight holder.  Could your child please bring in a clear, clean plastic container in the week running up to this?  Small milk cartons, clear jelly or yogurt tubs would be ideal.

Thank you for all of your continued support as we strive to keep Christmas as exciting as we can!

Week beginning November 16th

Good afternoon

The Sumdog competition has started so if you are looking for something to do, give it a go and let’s see if we can qualify again!

Also, could everyone please bring a kitchen roll tube from home please?  You will need this to complete an activity on Christmas Art day.

If you have not already done so  please bring something suitable for your kite design.  Old fabric/clothes might be suitable as we discovered  after our lessons this week.

Any Christmas mugs children are allowed to take home will be distributed this week.

Please remember that you only have to do your homework on Teams OR in your jotter-you don’t have to do both

See you tomorrow.
