Spelling – This week our sound is ear for er. This is where the er sound in a word has ear. For example in rehearse and pearl. We have 8 words with this sound and 4 common/ tricky words. Words for this week are:
I have also set up a challenge on Literacy planet this week for the children to try. Please log in using the Literacy Planet log in details in the green spelling homework jotter. Spelling homework is due in on Friday.
Maths – This week we continue our work on money. We have looked at coin combinations and change in class and we are now looking at money addition. Maths homework this week is addition of money amounts. This activity can be completed in the homework jotters or on the sheet. Maths homework is due in on Friday.
Reading – Reading books are due in on Friday 26th November.
Thank you for all of the support last week with Book Week and Children in Need. All of the kind donations were very much appreciated. The colouring competition will be judged this week and the raffle winner will be chosen too. The Book Week Pudsey pictures will be judged too. They were great! Thank you also to our parents who kindly read to our children. They really enjoyed these sessions.
This week, on Tuesday, we will have our P.E slot at the Cornerstone. Please ensure the children have a suitable jacket and a change of shoes for this session, Thank you.
