Good evening, I hope you all had a great October week. We are looking forward to a fun, hardworking term taking us up to Christmas time. Homework and news for this week as follows:
Spelling – This week our spelling sound is schwa u. This is where the u in the word sounds like a different sound. As in minus where the u may sound softer and like an uh. This week we have 8 words with this sound and 4 common words.
Maths – Before the October holidays we finished our block on multiplication chimney sums. This week our maths homework includes some extra examples of these sums. These can be done in the homework jotter or on the sheet. These sums are due in on Friday of this week.
Reading – New reading books will be given out tomorrow and will be due to be finished and handed in on Friday 29th October. I will also be completing some running records with the children over the next couple of weeks.
This term for Paths we will have an extra treat as well as having our lovely compliments. The children will be allowed to choose one treat from the Paths options for their Paths Day. The options are as follows:
