On Friday you were issued your Book Detectives homework. New books have been chosen by those of you who completed your book during our last homework session. Please remember you are choosing the number of chapters/pages you are reading each week for homework. Most of the books chosen should be completed within two weeks although some of our more avid readers may complete their book within one week. For Thursday 21st September you should complete the following:
- Read the chapters/pages chosen. You should read, at least a chapter, aloud to someone at home. If possible, please ask them to complete the feedback form (only one section needs to be completed per week). Remember to use the 3 sharings method when discussing your book (the suggested questions are on the inside cover of your jotter).
- Complete the Word Finder segment – 4 words with definitions. Please remember to record the page number.
- Complete the Illustrator segment – draw a picture related to what you have read and write a sentence (or two) to describe what your picture is showing.
Examples of both segments can be found below. Please remember to look at previous feedback for any possible ways in which you can make your homework even better.
If you have any questions, please ask.
