Homework

Hello P4R,

For our spelling homework this week could you please complete in your homework jotter. For the Super Sentences group your words are: set, met, bet, fish, mark and dog. For the Amazing adjectives and the Nifty Nouns your words are: easy, nose, result, positive, busy, misery, fish, area, mark and dog. Remember we are one week behind because we had a shorter week last week!

Reminder – It is Christmas jumper day and Christmas Lunch on Friday and the remaining groups will be making their seasonal soups on Thursday.

Also, our Christmas show will be next week for grown ups on Wednesday 15th December. I will email a link to all parents via google meet so if you are free please join us

Finally, a huge well done for those who competed in the Renfrewshire Sumdog competition – our class was 25th in Renfrewshire.

Have a good week!

House Art Day

Hello P4R,

Reminder that it is House Art day tomorrow so you can dress down in your house colours. You will be doing Arts and Crafts so it may be a good idea to wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting dirty.

Also, there will be no spelling or reading homework this week but there is a competition on Sumdog that we are taking part in so let’s see if we can make it to the top ten!

Finally, remember we are off on Tuesday for St Andrew’s Day so it will be a shorter week.

Have a fantastic week,

Miss Ritchie

Homework

Hello P4R,

This week our spelling homework is to be completed on Literacy Planet where I have set you tasks. Our sounds this week are ‘qu’ and ‘in’.  For Maths homework you will be issued a worksheet to complete for our topic of money. You may find it helpful to use real coins to help you if you have some in the house.

Have a good week!

On Tuesday children can wear their pyjamas to school and bring their favourite book to celebrate Book Week Scotland.

Finally, on Friday children can wear their fanciest outfit for the Strictly Sparkly theme on Friday for Children in Need.

For more information please see the school blog.

Thanks,

Miss Ritchie

Promise tree #COP26 #COP26GLASGOW #PROMISETOTHEPLANET

We have been learning about COP26 and climate change over the last few weeks. Today we each made a promise to do something to help the planet and put them together to make a promise tree. At the end of the term we will look back on our promises and see if we have kept them and if not what changes would we need to make.

Fantastic work P4, keep it up!

Miss Ritchie

Homework

Hello P4R,

This week our spelling homework will be in our yellow jotters where you will look cover and write each work twice, write down any shoot words you can think of and then write 4 sentences containing your spelling words. Remember to underline your spelling words in the sentences! Could you include one of the homophones we learned about last week; their, they’re and there or to, two and too.

For maths homework please continue practising your times tables.

If possible could you remember to bring in a leaf tomorrow (10th) that is big enough to write on, don’t worry if you don’t have time we will have some spares in class.

Finally, remember to bring in a pair of inside shoes on Friday for P.E at cornerstone.

Have a lovely week,

Miss Ritchie
