Numeracy:- Use Sumdog to build up your speed with number challenges.

Reading:- think about and discuss the Three Sharings as you read your book. ( Likes/dislikes, links and wondering/puzzles)

Spelling:-

When writing your words and  three sentences, remember to use the spelling strategies we have practised in class.

Next week is Maths Week:-

As part of using maths in  everyday situations, we intend to visit the Co-op to spend our £1.   We will need 2 adult helpers (one per class)  to accompany us.  We will leave school at 10:45 on Tuesday 1st October and return at about 11:45.  You assistance would be very much appreciated. If you are available to help,  please add a note to your child’s homework diary.

Hi everyone,

This weekend we have asked the children to think whether they would like to put themselves forward to become a Pupil Council representative for our classes.  If so, we have asked that children  discuss at home the qualities they have that would enable them to do this job well.  We will be asking them to share these qualities with our classes over the next few days.   We will be electing a Pupil Council member for each class this week.

Hi there, as we head into that time of year we are developing a bank of games and activities to keep us busy during wet intervals and lunchtimes.  We would be very grateful for donations of any suitable unwanted toys (e.g. lego, cars etc) and games (e.g. jigsaw puzzles, board games etc) to help achieve this and ensure everyone is busy and having fun at these times.

Hi everyone, we hope you had a lovely weekend in the sunshine! Here is your homework for the week ahead.

Reading – Reading books have been issued today in class. Please read and discuss the text at home.  Remember to use the 3 Sharings approach to discuss likes/dislikes/puzzles/connections.

Spelling – This week in class we have begun our new spelling approach.  Our first spelling rule is silent b.  There is no spelling homework this week.  In class we shall be completing homework for silent b to give an example of what homework activities may look like.  Spelling homework will begin next week.

Maths – There is no Maths homework this week.  Remember you can always be using your diary to revise numbers to 100, number bonds etc.

Thank you for ensuring all gym bags have been sent in.  Remember to ensure you have tape or remove earrings on gym days if you need to.  Please try to cover your homework diary if you can.

Hi everyone!

Well, what a busy and fun day we had in class today.  It was lovely to see you all ready to work hard in Primary 3!

Just a quick blog to let you know that this is where we may post from time to time to share information.  You will also find our weekly homework posted here on our blog.

We will issue homework diaries next week although homework will not begin until week beginning 26th August.  Our gym days for both classes will be Mondays and Thursdays.  If you have not already done so please try to bring your gym bag to school as soon as possible.  We have also left our book bags in class until we begin to use them next week.
