P3M – Daily Tasks – 02.06.20

Morning! Here are your tasks for today.

PE – PE with Joe or why not give the Renfrewshire Olympics challenge a go.

Literacy – Grammar – Today we are going to learn about prepositions. Prepositions are words that tell us where or when something happens in relation to something else. Examples of prepositions include – in, at, on, before and under.  Head over to BBC Bitesize to learn more. Then complete the prepositions task.

Prepositions

Numeracy – Number patterns – Choose any 2 or 3 digit number. Now decide whether you are going to count on or back in steps of 1’s, 2’s, 5’s or 10’s. Start at your number and now say the pattern you have created. How many numbers in the pattern can you say in 1 minute? Choose another number and different steps.  Say that pattern. Task – Create a written number pattern in the same way. Write the first few numbers in the pattern and then ask someone at home to continue it. Can they figure out your pattern? Ask someone to write a number pattern for you to continue. Finally head over to Topmarks and play the ordering numbers game. Choose either to 100 or to 1000 depending on what you are more comfortable with.

Technology – Coding – We have been using Scratch in class and learning how to programme.  Head over to Scratch and watch the tutorial. Have a go at creating a project using the tutorials. Have fun! Or if you would prefer to work offline head over to the Thinkfun page for some cool ideas. Maybe you could sequence and write down the steps to make a sandwich? Perhaps you could create your own emoji? Or code a Lego maze?
