Big cat books will be issued this week.\u00a0 These books can be fiction or non fiction books.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wordwalls<\/strong> will be heard this week on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maths<\/strong> &#8211; This week our maths will be looking at subtraction sums.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poetry<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Last week we gave out some poem options to learn.\u00a0 The children will be heard on Monday 22nd January in class reciting their choice of poem.\u00a0 They can choose a different poem if they wish as long as it is Scots.\u00a0 Here is a website to choose alternative poems if you wish.<\/p>\n<p>http:\/\/www.electricscotland.com\/culture\/features\/scots\/children.htm<\/p>\n<p><strong>News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last week we started our new Katie Morag topic.\u00a0 This week we will working together to create our wall display.\u00a0 If anyone has any Katie Morag books at home, it would great if the children could bring them in to share with the class.\u00a0 We will be sending home our Julia Donaldson books this week.\u00a0 Thank you to all who let their children send these in for our Stickman topic.<\/p>\n<p>In class we have been talking about targets and things we would like to achieve.\u00a0 This week your child will come home with a target booklet and they will show you their short term targets for Maths, Language and Health and Wellbeing.\u00a0 This will be discussed and created with your child in class.\u00a0 Feel free to add a home target in the parent\/guardian box at the bottom of the page.\u00a0 These targets will be looked at every couple of weeks to check how they are getting on.\u00a0 The target booklets will be kept in their bookbags.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks as always for your support.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Fulton\/ Mrs MacKenzie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I hope you all had a lovely weekend.\u00a0 Homework and news as follows: Homework Spelling &#8211;
