{"id":39,"date":"2017-08-20T20:24:31","date_gmt":"2017-08-20T20:24:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/re\/primary2bps\/?p=39"},"modified":"2017-08-22T21:36:55","modified_gmt":"2017-08-22T21:36:55","slug":"p2r-wk-beg-210817","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/re\/primary2bps\/2017\/08\/20\/p2r-wk-beg-210817\/","title":{"rendered":"P2R wk beg 21\/08\/17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I hope you all had a lovely weekend. \u00a0Homework and news as follows.<\/p>\n<p>Spelling homework starts on Monday 21st August. \u00a0This weeks sound is sh. \u00a0Homework instructions are stuck into the front of the spelling jotter. \u00a0Spelling consists of 4 common words and 4 words with the spelling sound for the week. \u00a0The common words are words the children should be familiar with and we are now working on the children being able to spell these as well as being able to recognise and read them.<\/p>\n<p>Reading homework and maths homework will begin in due course.<\/p>\n<p>We had a fabulous first week in school and it was great to start to get to know all of the children in the class. \u00a0Each week the children will have the opportunity to share news at a check in time. \u00a0Your child will be given a day that they will be able to share their news. \u00a0On this day your child is allowed to bring in something small to show to the class if they wish (and you allow). \u00a0Pupils can choose just to talk about their news. \u00a0A small note will be in the book bag this week to tell you your child&#8217;s day. \u00a0This was discussed with the children on Fiday so they may remember their day already.<\/p>\n<p>We also introduced our new topic to the class this week. \u00a0The Rainforest. \u00a0The children were given the opportunity to discuss what they would like to learn about the Rainforest this term. \u00a0This is a fantastic topic and we hope to book a trip to go along with this topic as soon as we can.<\/p>\n<p>Homework information letters will be in the bookbags this Thursday detailing more information.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you have a great week.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Fulton\/Mrs MacKenzie<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I hope you all had a lovely weekend. \u00a0Homework and news as follows.
