Hello everyone,<\/p>\n

We hope you had a great weekend. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

News<\/strong>
\nThis week we have House Art Day. This will take place on Friday 27th November. Please remember to send your child to school in old clothes on Friday, as it can get messy with all of the art activities we do.<\/p>\n

Help<\/strong>
\nA plea for pine cones. If you and your children are out and about, going on walks or trips to the park, could you collect some pine cones. We need a good-sized pine cone for each child in Primary 2. We need these by Friday 27th, so your help is much appreciated with gathering as many as we can.<\/p>\n

Homework
\n<\/strong>This week the new spelling rule is “y” making ‘ay’ sound.\u00a0 <\/strong>The spelling homework words are listed below:
\nPlease copy the words below three times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. lolly
\n2. party
\n3. happy
\n4. story
\n5. come
\n6. words
\n7. get
\n8. with<\/p>\n

Can you try to create a sentence which should include at least one of spelling rule words. Here is an example.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There was a lolly in the party bag.<\/b><\/p>\n

If you would like to challenge yourself, why not think of some other words which follow the spelling rule or try to grow your words and think of root or shoot words. For example<\/p>\n

The maths homework grid should be attached to the assignment. The chilli challenge questions should also be attached. Please remember to only complete one activity a week. The activities chosen should be different each week. This is to give the children some variety.<\/p>\n
