I hope you all had a restful holiday.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the homework for this week:<\/p>\n<p>Literacy:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A new book has been issued to each child today.<\/li>\n<li>Spelling rule this week is \u2018oi\u2019,\u00a0 The words the children chose were: Red\u00a0 \u2013 coins, oink, boil and oil. Blue \u2013 tinfoil, voice, noise and toilet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Numeracy:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>This week the children have been given a little challenge. I have explained that as we are on holiday on Friday that this challenge does not need to be finished this week. This has been given to them to take home however I will also post it here:&nbsp;\n<p>Your child should make a maths game on something that they have learned in maths since joining Primary 2. The games will be kept in class for the children to enjoy during free flow and math sessions, to help them remember previous learning. The game should be handed in on Monday 29<sup>th<\/sup> of April.<\/p>\n<p>The game can be as creative as they wish. Here are some suggestions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Card game.<\/li>\n<li>Board game.<\/li>\n<li>Physical game.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Things we have covered this year:<\/p>\n<p>Addition, subtraction, counting in 2\u2019s, 5\u2019s, 10\u2019s, number bonds, shape, measure, symmetry, weight, time, odd and even, diagrams.<\/p>\n<p>Many thanks,<\/p>\n<p>Primary 2 teachers.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Grant<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good Afternoon everyone!
