Here is our homework for the week ahead:<\/p>\n
Reading<\/p>\n
The children have been issued with their new reading book.<\/p>\n
Maths<\/p>\n
The children have been issued with a subtraction worksheet to complete. We have been working on this in class and have been talking about counting back as a strategy. Some of us also like to use concrete materials like counters to help us by removing the correct amount.<\/p>\n
Spelling<\/p>\n
Our sound this week is \u2018igh \u2019. The spelling words we chose were:<\/p>\n
Red Group: light, night, high and right.<\/p>\n
Blue Group: eyesight, midnight, lightning and sunlight.<\/p>\n
Our common words this week are:<\/p>\n
my, than, first and water.<\/p>\n
Tommy the Tree Frog\u00a0has been given out to a child today and is due back on Wednesday. When he is given out on Wednesday he is due back on a Friday.<\/p>\n
The children were issued with a few letters today and these have been placed in their bookbags.<\/p>\n
Ospreys have a non-uniform day this Friday (22nd) as they were the house points winners.<\/p>\n
